Baranagar is place full of Heritage more than 50years.previously it's a different story known for Baranagar in time of the Last CPM Government.poor roads,poor water logging streets,poor street light,Lack of drinking water,ther where no development.Days change time flies.

In the presence of present WB government,many a things changed over the year.TMC government had remarkable change in Baranagar Development.street are now good,under local municipality and government scheme like CITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT .Major problem of water logging is maximum solved,under BAGHJOLA KHAL DIVERSIFICATION project.

Street light are there every where.There are High Mask Light in the junction also.Drink water for every body,is a great change or rather revolution for a major or Larger part of Barangar people,have been solved by the over head Tank reservers made in this tenure.

Barranagar Municipality also have made and renovated ABNINDRANATH samsan ghat with new electric chulli .people of Barangar and others have a great Help and support in the time of COVID 19.

Baranagar ABANINDRANATH samsan is also equipped with AC Morgue (P7)with 6 bed facilities,where anybody can store or preserve their loved ones dead bodies for few days.so that if any of there relatives or anyone is staying outside coming for the funeral.

It's a changed Baranagar,now it enlighten with Led lights,and quality concrete streets had been made,water logging and drinking water problem had been solved majorly.

Recently MLA Barranagar SAYANTIKA BANERJEE had announced to make a Foot Bridge in Dunlop,as Dunlop is one of the Gateway of Bengal lots of heavy vehicles pass way from the junction.people resident there,face a major problem to cross the road and also sometimes meets an accident.

To avoid accident and

 to be in the safer side for the people of BARRANGAR,very soon foot bridge will be there in Dunlop more.

Baranagar Municipality along with transport department is also had a proposal of making a RORO Service trough ganga river to khiderpore Doc for heavy vehicles.so that the transaction of heavy vehicles will decrease through Barrangar,as Baranagar is a 50 years old civilization,that time there was not

 that well planned and possible to expand now.so lesse trafic and heavy vehicles will be convenient and saffer for people of Barangar.
