Kolkata dances to the tunes of K-Pop at regional round of All India K-Pop Contest 2024
'Krazyones The Flowerknights' was declared the winner in the dance category, while Ancy Irengbam ended up taking the top prize in the vocal category
Both the winners will now will take part in the semi-final that will be held in New Delhi on 19th October
19 teams took part in the Kolkata regional round of All India K-Pop Contest 2024
Kolkata : K-Pop fans in Kolkata had only one destination this week as hundreds of them gathered at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre in Bidhannagar to witness the regional round of the All India K-Pop Contest 2024. A total of 52 participants were selected for the round after 1,695 registrations – the second-highest after New Delhi’s 2,495 – were received for the online round competition in the region. There were a total of 19 teams participating in the regional round.
It was amongst this splendid display of performances that 'Krazyones The Flowerknights' grooved to 'Sugar Rush Ride' by TXT and went on to win the top prize in the dance category of the contest. Similarly, Ancy Irengbam mesmerized the crowds with 'No.1' by BoA and earned the top prize in the vocal category of the Kolkata regional round. Both of these participants will now perform in the semi-final that is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 19th October, 2024.
The other participants who performed exceptionally well at the Kolkata regional round include the three-member group Seraphic, who were the first runners-up in the dance category. The group danced to the popular track, 'MANIAC' by Viviz. The Moonwalkers was the second runners-up in the dance category after performing to 'Mafia In The Morning' by Itzy.
